Situation: Sellers had passed recently, home was full of treasures and personal belongings, devastated daughter of the seller didn’t know where to start.

The Outcome: Helped daughter sort through and plan an estate sale, prepared the property for sale with minimal costs and Sold $85,000 over list price!

We came recommended by a friend of ours to this woman whom had just lost both her parents within a year or so of each other. She was stressed out and lost on what to do and¬†where to begin. She met with two other agents who recommended she put the house on the market in it’s current condition, list as low as possible and that most likely she would have to do a price reduction after a month. We recognized that she wanted to get as much as she could for the home she and her family had owned for more than 50 years.

We planned an estate sale and sorted through the pieces of furniture we could use to stage the property. We re-carpeted the home, painted the interior and front walk-up of the house and planted flowers. Although it still needed to be cosmetically updated, we made it “move in ready” with some fresh paint and carpet. Total amount spent was $6500.00, but we listed the property $50,000 higher than the other agents’ suggested list price, received 15 offers and sold $85,000 over list price!
